Cabin fever is on the rise with so many people stuck home and now longing to get away.
As we begin to get ready to go out this summertime there is something to consider.
Your vehicle may have cabin fever too!
But before hitting the road after letting your car sit, let’s
make sure it is ready for this adventure.
Here are a few things to Check.
- BATTERY
Let’s start with that battery that can slowly lose its charge while sitting in your garage with nothing to do. While you have been bored so has your car with nothing better to do than stare at the garage door. This boredom can wreak havoc on your cars battery.
- TIRES
Next, check out the tires. While you may have been snacking more and adding to your spare tire, your car has been neglected and may have lost some weight. Soft spots while sitting can often occur affecting your vehicles ability to ride smoothly.
- GAS TANK
When sitting for a long time gas tanks can develop a buildup of moisture kind of like you sitting in front your television with a favorite beverage. While you are cooling down your cars gas tank has been too. Your cool drink may get you up and running but it may actually keep your car from moving.
- OIL CHECK
Don’t forget to check your oil too. Your car’s engine needs to maintain a healthy greasing to run smooth.
